We all have goals in life, right? You want to hit £10k months in your business or lose 5 stone by X month. But have you thoughts about setting intentions?
Goals vs. Intentions
Goals are specific, measurable outcomes you aim to achieve in a specific amount of time, such as learning to code or run a marathon in a certain number of hours. Setting goals help you prioritise actions and decisions, guiding you toward what you find most important.Â
Intentions on the other hand focus on the underlying purpose, mindset, and values that drive your actions. They are internal, based on your mindset, energy, and approach. Intentions are about how you want to show up in the world and can provide the foundation for choosing goals that align with your values and purpose.
Thinking up Intentions
Spiritual intention setting involves consciously identifying and articulating what truly matters to you, focusing on your inner journey and how you want to experience life, rather than solely on achieving external outcomes (goals). It's about aligning your actions and thoughts with your values and principles, fostering mindfulness and being more in the present moment.

Identify your values: What principles are most important to you? What kind of person do you want to be and how do you want to show up in the world?
Reflect on your desires: How do you want to live your life? What qualities do you want to embody? How do you want to relate to others and the world around you?Â
Consider your spiritual journey: What are the areas of your life where you feel a need for growth or connection? Â
Be Specific and Clear: Instead of goals which can be vague, aim to create concrete intentions that guide your actions towards your goals.
Be Positive: Frame your intentions in a way that emphasises what you want to attract (Law of Attraction) rather than what you want to avoid.
Trust the Process: Enjoy the process! Intentions are about the journey, not just the outcome. Have fun and remember to stay in the present moment.
Be Patient: Spiritual growth is a journey, not a destination, and so are your manifestations. Things you are trying to manifest don't happen overnight and can only happen if you are putting in the work to support these.
Setting Intentions
Regular routines: Start your day or the week by setting some intentions for the day/week that will guide you to achieve your goals. Take consistent steps to support your intentions.
Meditation: Meditate to connect with your inner self, raise your vibration and energy, and clarify your attentions.
Visualisation: Imagine yourself living in alignment with the intentions you've set. Sit and day-dream about your dream life or whatever it is you're trying to achieve.
Journaling: Writing down your intentions and goals can help to reinforce them and keep track of your progress. Regularly revist them to keep them fresh and relevant.
