Have you ever felt so attached to something or someone and you start to worry 'what if I never get it?' or 'why aren't they calling me back?'. If you've ever wondered why something isn't going the way you'd hoped, it might be because you've put so much energy into the outcome rather than letting go and trusting the process.
The Law of Detachment is the ability to let go of your need to control the outcome in a situation or to control others' actions. By letting go, we attract what's really meant for us.
Letting go
When you're so attached to something or someone, it can instill doubt and distrust in the universe's power. Attachment is your ego because it's your fears and insecurities. Those who seek security chase after something, often trying to control the outcome.
Letting go is really hard, especially if you have an anxious attachment style. For example, if you had a lack of support and validation in childhood, this could turn into developing an anxious attachment style in relationships. So when someone starts to get to know you and then pulls back, your instant response is to chase after them and fix the issue in fear of them losing interest and rejecting you. So by using the Law of Detachment, you detach from the situation and let things go. If they come back, great. If not, then that's not what the universe had planned for you and you'll find someone better. Go with the flow.
Don't give up
Remember, you're not giving up on something completely. You're not giving up on something you want to manifest. Don't give up on the intention or the desire, just detach from the outcome. Don't fixate on how or when it will happen, just know that it will happen when the timing is right. And if it doesn't? Then it wasn't for you anyway, and something better is about to come around the corner.
Getting what you really need
When you're so attached to something or someone, it can instill doubt and distrust in the universe's power. Attachment is your ego because it's your fears and insecurities. Those who seek security chase after something, often trying to control the outcome.
To get anything in the physical world, you need to detach from the outcome and just trust in the process. Easier said than done, right? Here are some ways to practice the Law of Detachment in order to attract exactly what you want.
Don't force situations or connections
Understand that what you want isn't always what you need
Allow yourself to be who you are and others to be who they are
Separate your ego from actuality
Be aware we all make mistakes
Letting go makes space for new opportunities and relationships
Be patient and trust in the universe and divine timing
When you stop forcing what you want, you start receiving what you need.
